WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.

We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at His return.

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious

blood of Jesus Christ.

We believe in water baptism as a symbol of our faith and dedication of our lives to Christ Jesus.

We believe that baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to prayer.

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world, Amen.

Lawrence Williams

LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Lawrence Williams is a native of Queens, New York, and the son of Delores and the late Stephen E. Williams, Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age and became actively involved in both youth and adult ministry.

In 2003, he was licensed as a minister in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) at Word of Faith Church in Elmira, New York, where he served as Director of Finance and Minister of Music. In 2004, he relocated with his family to Mooresville, North Carolina, and attended Christian Outreach of the Piedmont Church in Statesville. In December 2005, under the oversight of Pastor Glen J. Usry, he founded Lake Norman Christian Outreach Church. In 2014, Pastor Lawrence was credentialed as an ordained minister with the General Council of the Assemblies of God, and in 2015 the ministry transitioned into Higher Purpose.

Pastor Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Wake Forest University.

A gifted teacher, he is passionate about empowering others through education and entrepreneurship, often leading seminars on money management and church finances. His practical, biblically grounded preaching - combined with humor and dynamic delivery—motivates life change and everyday application of God’s Word.

He believes ministry begins at home and lives this out with his wife, Dr. TanYa Gwathmey Williams, and their two daughters, Victoria and Arianna.
